about hogan
Founded in 1987 by Drs. Joyce and Robert Hogan, Hogan leads the world in personality assessment and leadership development.
Hogan challenged decades of academic tradition and criticism to become the first to demonstrate personality’s impact on organizational success, pioneering the use of personality assessment to improve workplace performance. Inspired by the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which made discrimination illegal in the hiring process, the Hogans were dedicated to developing non-discriminatory personality assessments.
Hogan assessments allow employers to eliminate any potential bias based on gender, ethnicity, and race as part of the selection process. With products and services in 56 countries and 47 languages, what began as a small startup has evolved into the industry leader serving more than half of the Fortune 500.
Dr. Robert Hogan
Founder and President
Dr. Hogan will share the accumulated knowledge during the last decades, focusing on what makes a leader successful, what can hinder the success, what are the critical skills from an employee perspective, and how organizations can promote leadership effectiveness, rather than “emergence”, in selection and development.
Dr. Kimberly Nei
Director of Talent Analytics
Promoting diversity and inclusion is one of the most critical challenges for organizations. Dr. Nei will offer research-based insights about how to select and develop leaders who will be able to foster diverse and inclusive working environments.
Dr. Ryne Sherman
Chief Science Officer
Much of the research on group coordination and teamwork focus on team cohesion and cooperation, with far less attention paid to term performance and results. Dr. Sherman will present a new model of team performance and discuss a variety of team management challenges, including managing remote teams.
